Miriam Grossman, M.D., Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute
The sex education provided by most campus health centers encourages “safe sex” and using “protection”. Yet students following these means of sexual conduct continue to find themselves un-protected when it comes to their psychological, emotional and physical health and well-being. In this session, Dr. Grossman presents cutting-edge medical research often omitted from standard sex education and from campus health centers. Students immersed in their campus “hook-up” culture will find the health information she presents to be particularly eye-opening, especially young women, who pay the highest price for the “Sex in the City” lifestyle.
